The 2023 high school football season is upon us!
The SAOA Clinic is August 19th at 8am at O’Fallon High School (600 S Smiley St, O’Fallon, IL 62269). An event has been set up in Arbiter.
New to the clinic this year level 1 officials will be working an on field scrimmage at Althoff. This is designed for officials with less than 2 years experience. Those officials will need to bring shirt, black shorts, shoes, and other officiating equipment. For 3rd year officials, the SAOA would like you to stay at level 2 with the hope of going for promotion this year.
If you have not renewed your SAOA membership, you can renew at https://saoa.org/join-renew/. Please do this before the clinic, so registration is easier.
Crew Chiefs: please send me (Bohren27@gmail.com) your crew members and schedule. This makes getting game tape easier.
Playoff awards: If you worked your first ever First, Second, Quarterfinal, Semifinal, or Final, in the 2022 season, please send me a message to see if you are eligible for an award.
Scrimmages: If your crew does not have a preseason scrimmage lined up, please let Jason Unverzagt (bjunvy29@gmail.com) know, he might be able to help your crew out.
Brian from https://officialsonly.com/ will be at the clinic for your officiating supplies. Check your uniform needs prior to the clinic.
Also if you would like to donate old uniforms, we will have a table for newer officials.
